Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Missionary in Tallahassee, FL. I love my family. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Elder Buchanan. Right now I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tallahassee Florida. A mission is amazing because it enables you to dedicate every part of your life to the Lord for two years of service. I love being able to serve and teach people about Christ Gospel that has been restored on the earth. There is nothing in my life that has ever brought me this much happiness than sharing this Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been fortunate enough to be born into a loving family. Growing up, my parents taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how to live it. I had many friends who shared the same beleifs as I did, and together we built each other stronger in our faith and standards. Being Mormon for me growing up was as much cultrual as it was religious. It wasn't until I left on my mission that I fully understood the importance of the Gospel in my life. Being Mormon helps me in every aspect of my life, and helps me understand who I am and what my purpose is in life. I'm grateful to be apart of the church and I realized the many blessings I receive from following the example of Christ.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provides many ways to live and to serve in the Gospel. I'm currently on a mission in Tallahassee, Florida. It gives me the opprotunity to serve people every day as Christ did during his earthly ministry. It helps me grow closer to him as I study his scriptures and as I try to become like him. Living you faith is more than just actions, it also involves your heart being dedicated to the Lord. As I'm on my mission, I strive everyday to be more Christlike in who I am and what I do.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Brandon
A testimony is when members of the church share what they feel to be true. Members will commonly share personal testimony about their beliefs in Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, the restoration of the Gospel, their belief of knowing the LDS Church is the true church of Jesus Christ with Him at the head of it or other things that they know to be true. A testimony is not a matter of right or wrong. A testimony is someone sharing what the spirit has confirmed to them to be true. Show more Show less
