Hi I'm Cam

I'm good with software. I'm the father of special needs children. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and the father. We live in the Pacific Northwest and love it here. We have two autistic sons and a daughter. It has been challenging but there have been blessings that have come with the territory as well. I am a business analyst. I work with software systems in the healthcare field. I specialize in supply chain and finance, and delivering measurable results to the bottom line. Interests: history, hockey, golf, home renovation, working (my wife had me add the the home renno & working). Yes, life is pretty full.

Why I am a Mormon

We have learned that the Lord has the answers, whether with coping with sleepless nights, financial challenges, unfulfilled expectations, finding peace and joy in this life, or any other issue that has arisen. The more I study the gospel of Jesus Christ the more I believe it. The more I live it the better I feel, and the more blessings that I (and we) receive.

How I live my faith

It seems that when you join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you get a job: some kind of volunteer service opportunity. Right now my assignment is teaching a Sunday School class. Last year we studied the Old Testament and for 2011 the curriculum is the New Testament. It has and continues to be a wonderful learning and sharing opportunity. These jobs are always divinely inspired. They push you a bit in ways that you don't particularly want to be pushed. They teach you things that you need to know amidst your own challenges. And you help others. Something to give, something to learn, and someone better to become: this seems to be the pattern. When you follow the Lord you learn from Him, and it helps you in your personal life.
