Hi I'm Jay

I'm a Husband, A Father, A Health Care Administrator, A High School Track Coach, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love helping and working with other people. I own and operate an Assisted Living, where I care for 24 elderly residents. I coach High School students who run Cross Country and distance races in Track. My favorite title and job is husband and Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel fortunate to be born a member of this church. I do not base my belief off my parents or tradition, but from the things I have come to know for myself. I believe that Christ is the Savior of this world. I believe he continues leading his church with a living prophet. I believe in the Book of Mormon. Like the Bible it teaches us how to follow the Savior and come to know our Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for restored keys that allow us to perform ordinances such as Baptism, Priesthood (the authority to act in God's name), and Temple covenants. I'm thankful for a church that believes in and teaches of Eternal Families. I know these things to be true because I've prayed, actively participated, and have received many blessings throughout my life as a member of this church

How I live my faith

I believe for us to say that we are followers (or disciples) of Christ we must strive daily to follow his example and keep his commandments. Benjamin a wise prophet and king of the Book of Mormon taught: "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17) I have come to know the Savior best through the many opportunities I've had to serve him. Some of the opportunities which have strengthened my testimony have been: A full-time missionary; A Sunday School teacher; A Boy Scout leader, A Secretary; A Bishop; and even the simple assignments of helping individuals in need. I've appreciated and grown from every calling and assignment I've had.
