Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a chemist. I use a magnet that is 160,000 times stronger than the earth. I'm a new dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for a little over a year. My wife and I have a beautiful baby girl who has more hair than I've ever seen on a baby. I'm finishing up my senior year of college studying chemistry. Next year I'm going to start graduate school, where I'll be working on a Ph.D. in chemistry. Some times it feels like school is never going to end...

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the stereotypical Mormon family. I am the fourth of seven kids. My dad has worked hard his whole life to support us. A major reason why I'm a Mormon is because my siblings and I all get along and love each other, and we all have good, healthy relationships with our parents. I know that those strong family ties have come from living the principals of Christ's gospel. I want to have that same kind of relationship with my wife and children.

How I live my faith

The church has let me experience a lot of different service opportunities. I served as a missionary in South Carolina for a few years. I've taught children's classes. I've worked for a nursery watching babies. I get to visit families in my church body to check on their physical and spiritual well being. And I teach a class on the teachings of the modern day prophets.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

No, there are no race or color restrictions to joining the Mormon church. We welcome all peoples of all race and ethnicity. Show more Show less
