Hi I'm David

I grew up in Maine. Studied engineering in Boston. Became a lawyer. Started a law firm in Minnesota. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the Northeast; specifically the city of South Portland, Maine. I love athletics. I play basketball. I run with my wife. I am a diehard Red Sox fan. I have four children ranging in ages from 9 to 18. I am also a lawyer and have a firm with 9 patent professionals.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents belonged to the Episcopal church and I went to that church occasionally as a young child. By the time I was a teenager I stopped going to church. When I was preparing to go to college, my grandmother encouraged me, among other things, to find religion. While at school, I met a member of the church. I went to church with her for several months. When the school year ended, I returned home. I decided to investigate the church on my own at that point. I found the local congragation and began attending their meetings. I also started meeting with the missionaries. In those meetings, I felt that it was important for me to join the church. I felt that it was the right thing to do. Two weeks later, i was baptized. I served a mission in Thailand for two years. Since then, I have been active in the church and, with my wife, I am raising my children in the church. I am grateful to be a first generation Mormon.

How I live my faith

Service is a big part of the Mormon church. Over the years, I have served in various capacities. Currently I am an assistant Scoutmaster in our Scout troop. One of my sons is a Scout so this is a great opportunity to spend some quality time with my son and his friends.
