Hi I'm Clinton Arnold

The Gospel provides "A Good Way of Life"

About Me

Growing up in Idaho I have developed a love for the outdoors, any chance I get I head to the mountains. Whether on a horse or hiking in the summer months or by snowmobile or skiing it is my second most favorite place to be. An added bonus is when I have family and friends with me. We have spent countless hours as a family camping, horseback riding and snowmobiling in the mountains. One of my favorite Christmas's was the day we rode snowmobiles, stopped and lit a fire and cooked hotdogs and smores for Christmas dinner. My second most favorite Christmas was the time we went to Grand Targhee and spent Christmas eve and Christmas day skiing. I have to admit my favorite place to be is in the Holy Temple, as a active member of the church my sweet wife and I attend on a weekly basis. The peace and joy I feel as I participate in doing work for others who have passed on is very rewarding. The best part is the feeling I get in knowing that my Father in Heaven is there. In the Temple you can feel his presence and that of our Savior Jesus Christ. We have 4 children with three being married and 11 Grandchildren. We enjoy spending time as a family, playing games and eating wonderful food.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in an LDS home I was not always active. While a teenager I strayed away from the believes and decided I was free to choose my own ways. I thought that the church had to many rules and I chose other paths. After meeting my current wife and realizing how important the church was to her I started to think different. She was so happy and at peace with her self and life. I quickly realized that I was not happy and was always trying to find it. Through her patience and love I finally decided to embrace the Gospel and I have found peace and real happiness. I find the more obedient I am the more blessings come to us and our family. After much prayer and repentance I was able to marry my sweet heart in the Temple and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I know the Gospel is true from life's experiences. I have seen and felt the loving embrace of my Savior Jesus Christ as I have sought forgiveness. I have come to know that the scriptures are true and that the Prophet Joseph Smith did in fact restore Gods church in these the latter days. I know that we have Apostles and Prophets in our day as in days of old and that they testify of the divinity of the Savior and His Father. I am grateful for my testimony of prayer and the ability to seek guidance from a loving Heavenly Father and to do all I can to align my will to that of my Father in Heaven and as I do He blesses me.

How I live my faith

I have spent many hours in service to others through various callings and assignments as a member of the church. Being an active outdoor person I enjoy taking youth on camp-outs, hiking, snowmobiling and many service projects helping others in need. Service is a large part of me and I have tried to instill its importance in our children and grandchildren. I have also dedicated my life to be an instrument in the hands of my Father in Heaven. I have also had the opportunity to spend a lot of my church service in leadership positions which has helped me professionally as well.
