Hi I'm Rich

I grew up in California and Utah. I am a guitarist/singer-songwriter and producer, and play in a band and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Rich, I am married and have three children. I received a Bachelors Degree in Business and have been able to use the skills I learned in school with my job in state government. I am a guitarist and a singer song writer. I have been playing guitar for 24 years. I teach guitar, play in a band on weekends, and have small recording studio in my home where help others record their music as well as record my own music. Music is a hobby I am passionate about. To find links to my music you can visit my blog by searching for me on Google or the links on my profile page. You can also find music I have written on Itunes. A lot of my music is inspired by my Mormon faith and culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith, but as a youth was not always sure of my parents beliefs but always felt something in my heart about the church, especially in meetings I would attend or youth activities. My Mom came up to me one day when I was almost 19 years old and asked me. "what are you going to do with your life, are you going to go to school, are you going to serve a Mormon mission?" I had two older brothers who were Mormon missionaries, one went to France and the other went to Japan, so it was always in the back of my mind that would probably follow in their footsteps. While sitting in a church meeting for some of the youth in our church, my older brother was asked to sing some of his songs he had written. When he started singing one of his songs about sharing the lords gospel with others, it struck at my emotions and I felt what I believe was the spirit of the Lord or the holy ghost telling me that it was the right thing for me to do, to be a missionary for the Mormon Church. I talked to my Bishop and later excepted a call to serve as a missionary in Michigan. I had some of the most amazing experiences on my mission, experiences that testified to my soul that what I was doing was right, and I developed a strong testimony of the gospel and its principles. I have that same testimony today and continue to be active in my church. The LDS church is an amazing and teaches true principles. I have made lots of friends and have had lot of support from the members of the church in times of need or just when I needed someone to talk to. This is just a few reasons I am a Mormon, and could go on and on about the reasons why I am a Mormon, and the blessings I have received from being a Mormon. I ask anyone who reads my profile to honestly seek out the missionaries if they want to learn about the Church, do it with a open mind and a willingness to learn.

How I live my faith

I teach a class in my church called Gospel Doctrine. This year we will be covering the New Testament in the Bible. I have also taught the youth of our church and had other assignments as a teacher.
