Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a wife and mother of 3 boys!

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three boys. I graduated from college and now am blessed to be able to stay home with our children. I enjoy cooking, gardening, photography, exercising, biking, hiking, camping, skiing, vacationing and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it brings me the hope and joy that I can return to live with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and my husband and family after this life. I believe that all the blessings I have in this life can be directly traced to a loving Heavenly Father who blesses my life. As I choose to follow the path that the Savior has shown us, the blessings of heaven continue to come to me and my family. I am so grateful that Joseph Smith pondered which church to join, and in turn was blessed to bring forth the fulness of the Gospel and re-establish the church which is the same church that existed while Christ was on the earth. I believe that Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon from plates of gold just as he said he did - and if one reads and studies it - one will truly get nearer to God by reading it. I believe that we have a prophet and apostles today, just as in ancient days - and they lead and guide us and help us to follow the path back to our Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true church on the earth today. Through the church we are taught the doctrines and truths that will bring us true joy in this life, while here on earth, and in the life to come. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that I can teach my children, hand in hand with my husband, the truths that will bring them TRUE joy and happiness. When I see their sweet faces, I often am reminded that they are really sons of God and it is my responsibility to love and teach them all that I can; ironically, I am often surprised that I learn more from them than I will ever really be able to teach them! The Gospel is my life - and I feel so blessed and honored to have it as a part of my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in our ward as the Relief Society Secretary. The Relief Society is the women's organization in our church that brings so many blessings to each lady (sister). I love a program that we have called Visiting Teaching where we are able to visit and serve specific sisters in our ward. I try to live each day to serve our Savior by serving my family, friends and those that I meet or come in contact with each day!
