Hi I'm Gary

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi My name is Gary I am a financial advisor by profession. I am married to a wonderful woman that I love very much. We have 5 children ,5 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of my love for our Lord and savor Jesus Christ. When I was about 15 yrs old I had a life threatening experience that caused me to seek out the help of God through prayer. I thought about what my mother had thought me about turning to The Lord in prayer when you needed help. I started to pray with a sincere heart. Soon after I prayed, things started to happen in my life that took me out of harms way. I knew that my prayer had been answered. I knew now that God really did exist. He really did hear our prayers and answer them. It was the beginning of my quest for truth. I began to go back to church and read the bible. This was a real blessing in my life. I had lots of questions and soon began to feel the answers I was getting from my church leaders was confusing. Questions like why we were hear where we really came from and what would happen to us after we left this life. I went from church to church search for the one I thought was the true church. I did not find a church. I gave up my search and soon fell away and once again became lost. After many years without the answers I needed I once again turned to God in prayer. I got on my knees and with all my heart prayed to find the true church. Very soon a series of events led me to the missionaries of this church. All my question were answered and I was baptized. I know that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We be leave that the bible is true and correct as well as it was translated correctly. We be leave also that the book of Mormon is the word of God as given to the inhabitants of ancient America when Christ came to them after his resurrection . That the book of Mormon is the stick of Joseph spoken of in the bible. Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: Ezekiel 37:17-19 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 ¶ And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall Show more Show less
