Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

ROBERT H. MOSS Biographical Sketch I was born in the little town of Santa Clara, Utah. All four sets of great-grandparents were pioneers who arrived in Utah prior to the railroad's coming in 1869. My great-grandfather David Moss was a member of the Mormon Battalion, and then was called to St. George as part of the Dixie Mission in 1861. My great-grandfather John David Thompson McAllister was Stake President in St. George, and President of the St. George and Manti Temples. My great-grandfather William Atkin was a handcart pioneer, and my great-grandfather John G. Hafen was called with the Swiss Pioneers to Dixie. I married Roberta Renner in the Salt Lake Temple. Roberta comes from Latter-day pioneers. Her entire family joined the Church in Kansas when she was 12, were baptized in a river, and came to Utah to be with the Saints and be sealed in the temple. I graduated from Dixie College, Utah State University, and Brigham Young University, earning a doctorate in Educational administration. From my youth I have had a desire to write. I wrote nine books on the Book of Mormon. Eight of them are a series of novels about my heroes of the Book of Mormon that I named The Nephite Chronicles. I also wrote a biography of my younger brother, who was a downs syndrome child, entitled Celestial Child. My two latest books are Guts But No Glory, a novel of the Utah War, and Through Deepening Trials, a novel of the Martin Handcart Company.

Why I am a Mormon

From my youth I have read, studied, and pondered the Book of Mormon. Each time I read it, I am more impressed by its logic, consistency, and wealth of doctrine. I have also prayed and asked God to witness to me the truthfulness of this book. He has done so. The Book of Mormon is unsurpassed in its content as it sets forth the wonderful truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have truly felt the Lord's spirit as i have studied it. I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

Having the opportunity to have my family throughout eternity is a driving force for me to live the Gospel in its fullness. I pray, study, and read. I attend my Church meetings and enjoy the Semi-annual conferences of the Church where we hear the Prophets speak and teach. When given an assignment in the Church I do my very best to carry it out. The Lord has truly blessed me and my family.
