Hi I'm Sheila.

I'm determined to find the good in every situation. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 children. I savor time with my family, being outdoors, capturing precious candid moments of life through my camera, reading recipes, baking sweet treats and putting them in pretty little packages to share.

Why I am a Mormon

College life brought many fun adventures, connections and opportunities for growth. It also brought my first introduction to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There, I met a young man who stood out from others. He was Mormon. He shared with me what his church meant to him. During visits to his home, I was invited to join their family for family prayer. The prayers were sincere, personal, and simple offerings of gratitude. These experiences touched my heart. I sought to learn more about the Mormon Church. I met with missionaries who taught me about our purpose on earth. I had been raised in another Christian denomination, regularly attended church, knew about Jesus Christ and understood that I was loved and known by our Savior. The missionaries’ teachings of the Savior resonated with me and built perfectly upon what I already knew. It was clear that I wanted to become Mormon, though I feared disappointing my family by changing religions. I am pleased to say that since joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (at age 23,) my relationships with my extended family have only been enhanced. The young man who shared his beliefs with me in my college days became my companion in marriage. We are dedicated to raising our children to know that they are loved by their parents and by a loving Heavenly Father. My life has been enriched because of the influence of the Savior and His teachings.

How I live my faith

I yearn to be a kind and sensitive wife, mother, friend and neigbor. As a family, we attend weekly church services, pray, and encourage each other. I find joy in the simple details of daily life and the good that surrounds me.
