Hi I'm Jared

I am a scientist, and I enjoy teaching and making others laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In college, I learned that I love to discover new things through scientific experiments. Through a friend, I found my dream job as a scientist doing experiments in the business world. I am a competitive athlete, just not very good! Making people laugh is one of my favorite things to do. Best of all, I am a husband and father of three teenage sons.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were and still are faithful members. Through their teachings and example, I put into practice the principles of the restored Gospel, and I discovered for myself the truthfulness of the Church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the source of all blessings, and because it has been restored in its fullness, my life has been richly blessed both spiritually and temporally.

How I live my faith

Consistent success in sports or any activity is dependent upon the consistent application of fundamentals. I try to live the fundamentals of the Gospel each day by praying to my Father in Heaven, reading His words daily, serving and loving my fellowmen, and being obedient to His commandments.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

There are many ways that Mormon missionary activities are funded. First, the missionary earns and saves money. I helped pay for my mission to Rome, Italy, by saving money from the various jobs I had as a youth. Second, family and friends can contribute funds to the local Church missionary fund regardless if they are of our faith. My parents, extended family, and friends donated money to help pay for my mission. Tithing and other charitable contributions are not used to fund the activities of missionaries. Show more Show less
