Hi I'm Trisha
I am a Mormon.
I'm a student, a sister, a daughter, a triathlete, a volunteer, a tutor, a personal trainer, and a follower of Jesus Christ. I love being outside and being with my family. You can find us frequently hiking, spending time in the mountains or sitting in our backyard eating dinner together. I'm a fierce competitor in triathlon and road races. I'm a student studying Secondary Health Education. I love working with kids with disabilities. I love serving, laughing, and learning.
I was lucky enough to be born into the church; I was born into a family that loves and lives the gospel of Jesus Christ. From the time I was young my parents helped me find my own testimony of Jesus Christ and His church. Through prayer, reading the scriptures and personal experiences I have found my testimony and anchored it in my faith in Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because it is was brings me joy in the hard times, it brings me peace in the stressful times, and it brings me hope for the future. I love being a member of His church and living my life in accordance with His will, because it is what makes me happy. It gives me direction and is what has shaped me to be the person I am today.
I love this gospel because it teaches us how to live both inside and outside of our church. In the church I have been able to teach children the basics of the gospel, most importantly that God loves them. I have been able to teach youth, particularly young women, about living pure, happy lives that follow Jesus Christ. I have also been able to get married in the temple to my husband to be sealed for eternity. And from that married we have made an effort to create a home where we will some day raise children in the gospel and a place that we can feel the Spirit and grow together. Outside the church I live my faith by being a volunteer for Operation Smile and for Special Olympics. I work with special needs kids, I help people train for races and I'm an example to my neighbors and friends. By living my faith both in my community and in my church, my life is centered in Jesus Christ - which means my life is a happy life.
