Hi I'm Nicolle

I'm a Mormon and I love my religion. It changes my life every day

About Me

I am a massage therapist and I teach massage therapy. Helping people to heal body, mind and spirit is the most rewarding profession I could ask for. Being the favorite aunt is my life's goal (which I think I'm doing very well at achieving!). The outdoors are beautiful, so I love spending time cycling, hiking, hanging out by the pool, and any other way that gets vitamin D in my body! When it's cold outside, my passion is reading. Right now, I love young adult fiction. There are some amazing books out there. Let's face it, watching movies and eating popcorn is the ultimate pastime. Who doesn't love it?

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church. I finally gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel in my early twenties. I can tell you without doubt, this church is true. I had the opportunity to go a different direction with my life, I could have chosen to not live this gospel, but I knew it's truths were nothing I could deny. Knowing I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, a Savior and Redeemer in Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, a precious gift to guide me and as my constant companion, makes all the difference in the world. All the choices i make in my life stem from knowing those precious truths. The truth in the teachings of this church resonate in my heart.

How I live my faith

There are a lot of Mormons where I live, so many people already know about my religion. I try to live each day making choices that Christ would make. His life was full of service, and i want my life to be the same. I want the way I treat and talk to people to be the way Christ would treat and talk to them. I love teaching, so many of the ways I live my faith have to do with teaching people about my beliefs, whether that's with a neice/nephew or one of my friends. My religion isn't just something I do on Sunday's, it's a way of life that comes into my daily conversation, attitude, and actions.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Nicolle
I have personally experienced the destruction that surrounds pornography. Its effects are wide spread and debilitating to those ensnared in its grasp. Stopping this influx of filth will take vigilance, dedication and commitment. As with most things, it starts in the home. Our children are subjected to lewd and suggestive scenes on TV and in movies, lyrics in music, words in books, and clothes on the store racks. Be diligent about the things they view. For boys, the introduction to pornographic images usually begins at an age so early its ridiculous. Be a parent and know where your children are, who they are with, and what they are viewing. Watch they are reading and listening to. Does it uplift them and teach them about their true nature or is it debasing to the very core of who we are? Do not entertain the base, uneducated, and moronic things on TV and in movies. Find wholesome things to view and read and participate in. The most important concept is education. We can not be afraid to speak candidly about this. Children are curious and want to know. If we don't teach them who will? Teach them what it is. Teach them how to avoid it. Instill in them the strength they will need to turn away when they are with other who do indulge in this. Create an environment where the child feels safe asking questions and speaking with you about it. Don't wait until its too late, until after they are trapped!!!! Show more Show less
