Hi I'm George

I grew up in Montana and became a themed architect and illustrator of children's books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married man with 6 daughters and 14 grandchildren. Spent over 50 years as an architect and artist. Now I illustrate children books with my wife. Have lived in several states including Great Britain.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 17 years old I dated a Mormon girl who was a year younger that introduced me to the LDS Church. I belonged to the Catholic Church and was active. However, because the LDS Church was very friendly and inviting to me as I attended the youth programs, dances and other activities I became very interested in the Church. Through very sincere praying about the Book of Mormon and the doctrines of the Church I received a testimony that it was true and I was baptized in the Church. Since then I have served several missions and many positions in the Church. I have asked myself the question: If I had not joined the Church, or if I left it, what could I replace it with? And I know of no other organization, religious or otherwise, that fullfills God's plan for us, and for me, the way the Mormon Church does. I have come to know I really am a child of God...in a literal sense. We have a Heavenly Father that exists and knows me, by name, and cares. And to have a living prophet who communicates for the Church on the earth today who speaks to us in our time is very comforting to know what Heavenly Father wants for us. I have come to know more about Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice more than I ever did before. And because of Heavenly Father's example I pattern my family, with my wife, according to his instructions about the family as given in the Family Proclamation to the World. These are some of the reasons I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions in the Church. Served a full time mission when I was 21 years old and several other full and part time missions with my wife. I am currently serving in the in a priesthood group as an assistant to the leader. Several times I have served on the zoning and historical committees in towns I have lived in.
