Hi I'm Tawna

I'm a wife, mother, and school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 3, and an elementary school teacher. I love teaching, reading, exercising, spending time with my family and our dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I consider myself very fortunate to have been raised in a Latter-Day Saint family. When I was 8 years old I chose to be baptized a member of the church. I also chose to serve an LDS mission as a young adult. Being a Mormon and staying true to my faith have been very important to me throughout my life. Over the years, the Gospel has been my anchor. So often I have received strength beyond my own, peace and comfort, and clarity when facing life's challenges. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and his Gospel. My greatest joy is to see my own teenage/young adult children choose to be strong in the faith and develop a relationship of their own with the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving others. Mostly it's just little acts of kindness to my family members, friends, students and neighbors. At this stage in my life, it's also caring for aging mother-in-law and looking out for a widowed sister. Another very important way I live my faith is by regularly reading the scriptures, praying, regularly attending church and the temple. When I do these things consistently my faith increases, I receive greater spiritual strength and real joy.
