Hi I'm Sarah

I used to be a critic. Now, I'm a missionary and a Mormon!

About Me

I love music, listening to local bands (yay for SXSW!), playing the guitar, eating delicious food, running, watching random B/indie movies, spending time with my friends, going to thrift stores, etc. I am a convert to the Church. I've was baptized in 2008. I am studying as a graduate student to receive a Masters Degree in Executive Business Administration. I am currently serving a mission in St. George, Utah. I love what I do! I love teaching others about the the Gospel of Jesus Christ and about His church on the earth today! I can't think of anything else better that I could be doing with my time.

Why I am a Mormon

I prayed one day for more direction in my life. Not even five minutes later, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints knocked on my door. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I prayed to know for myself and the Lord showed me in His own way. After a sincere prayer to the Lord to know if it was true I flipped open the book and read wherever my eyes went to. I read Alma 32:35 "Oh then, is not this real? I say unto you, Yea, because it is light; and whatsoever is light, is good, because it is discernible, therefore ye must know that it is good; and now behold, after ye have tasted this light is your knowledge perfect?" At that point I knew that the Church was true and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God to restore Christ's Church and gospel in its fullness. I know that there is a modern-day, living Prophet and that Jesus Christ's Church is on the earth today to prepare the hearts of the children of men for his second coming.

How I live my faith

I live my life each day by trying to become better than I was the day before. I strive to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I enjoy serving others and desire all of my Heavenly Father's children to return back to Him. I pray for Charity and pray for the spirit to be with me and guide me on a daily basis. If I am not happy, I look for ways to serve others because when others are happy, it somehow reciprocates back to me. That is, in my eyes, being a true disciple of Jesus Christ. "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." -Mosiah 2:17

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Eternal Life is being able to live in the presence of God the Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are able to live with our families together forever and continue to progress throughout eternity. Show more Show less
