Hi I'm Jeff

I run, crochet, study civil engineering and lived two years in Italy...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and I love it. I like to be outside and if I stay inside too long I start to go crazy. I also like to always be doing something. If I have nothing to do I like to exercise, listen to music, or clean my kitchen. I'm a college student so my kitchen almost always needs to be cleaned. I study civil engineering. I fell in love with Italy, its people and food after living there for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel that the only way to find true happiness and fulfillment in this life is by following the Savior Jesus Christ and I feel strongly that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. The Savior showed us the perfect way to live. He loved all and was completely self-less. When I strive to do the same I am happy. Living according to His teachings and according to the teachings of the Mormon church I have been able to find joy in life. I've seen this especially true in relationships. Our Redeemer set the example for being selfless, patient, kind, long-suffering, and compassionate toward others. Following the Savior's teachings has greatly enriched and deepened my family relations and friendships. The Holy Ghost has witnessed to my heart and mind that Jesus Christ lives. He is the hope of the world and He is my hope. Because of His life and His mission and His plan for us I have hope. I know that if I do my best to follow Him one day all will be well. The Holy Ghost has also witnessed to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's only living and true church upon the earth. It is lead today by a prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson, and was established through a prohet of God, Joseph Smith. What comfort it is to me to know that our Heavenly Father has again established His kingdom on the earth.

How I live my faith

I'm the choir director in my ward. I choose pieces of music to perform, run rehearsals and direct the choir in the performances. The goal is to invite the Spirit of the Lord into the meetings in which we sing. I really enjoy this calling and feel very supported by my peers. On average about 20 members come out to support the choir. There is real power in music and I feel it especially when we perform. The Spirit it brings is strong and can excite, sooth and comfort the soul.
