Hi I'm Monty

I'm a retired Soldier, a Police Officer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I recently retired from the US Army, and have chosen to be a Police Officer for my second career. I forge knives for a hobby, and also enjoy hunting fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church from age 5. When I joined the Army I went inactive for several years. I was out with friends one night and kept feeling like I needed to go back to church. I went the next day, I met my wife there and have been extremely blessed. The feelings of belonging and peace I feel each Sunday and throughout the week at activities are unbelievable. I have never found anything as complete and true as the gospel. The teachings and doctrines found within the gospel and those of the Prophets have brought me closer to my wife and children as well as my fellow man more than anything else I have ever experienced.

How I live my faith

Like any faith I live it day by day. I help my son with Cub Scouts, and try to get involved in all our Ward Activities. Being in law enforcement I get to help people, sometimes in times of great need. The principles of the gospel help me to remember all men are God's children regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in.
