Hi I'm Marcie

I grew up in Idaho. I am a wife, a stay-at-home mom and a designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a good home by dedicated, loving parents. I went to college and graduated with a bachelors degree in Art. I am now a stay at home mother and I spend many happy hours with my two beautiful little boys. I am a wife to a wonderful husband and I am also a graphic designer. I have always loved art and design and throughly enjoy doing freelance design work. Creativity and the arts are a fudamental part of who I am. I also love the outdoors, reading, singing, and spending time with people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but at some point in my teen years I realized that I need to discover for myself if I believed in what I was taught regarding religion. I reflected upon what I had been taught my whole life, what I felt while attending church and the many experiences in my youth that strengthned my testimony of the truthfulness of the church up to that point. I realized then that I had received, and have since received, many personal witnesses that the Book of Mormon is a true book from God and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed Christ's church on the earth today. My faith has not been built upon one single experience. Instead it has been solidifed by hundreds of little moments. Moments when a prayer was answered, or feelings of peace and joy came while living a gospel principle. Moments when I felt God was speaking direclty to me through a verse in the Bible or Book of Mormon. I know, through my own pondering, study, and prayer that the fulness of the gospel of Christ is once again on the earth, restored in its entirety, through Jospeh Smith. I know that my Savior lives. He died so that I might live. He is the center of my faith. I love my Savior and I am thankful that He has provided a means whereby I may return to live in the presence of God again someday.

How I live my faith

My faith is expressed in every facuet of my life. Specifically within the church, I have worked with the adult women to coordinate and plan events for the church's women's organization. Most recently I have been working with the children in our church. I coordiante and organize the services that over one hundred children attend weekely. I have also volunteered many hours of design work promoting church activities and events.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not worship Jospeph Smith. We worship God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was the prophet that God called upon to restore the fulness of His gospel. Similar to Moses, who was called by God to lead the Israelites out of bondage, Joseph Smith Jr. was called by God to bring forth the complete gospel of Christ that had been lost for centries. He is called the prophet of the restoration by church members. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Chrsit, brought forth the Book of Mormon, and restored the true doctrine of Christ.
