Hi I'm Bruce

I am a husband and a father of three. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a junior associate at a small law firm. My work is now so close to home that I have started bicycling to work as a means of exercise and keeping our expenses down. I also sing in a regional choral organization and enjoy board games with my wife and children. While we enjoy bonding together through music, board games, reading and homemade bread, the central element binding us together is the gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly the knowledge that we are sealed together for time and eternity and not just until death.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon, and I grew up Mormon, but I am not Mormon just in culture or by default. By studying, applying and praying about the gospel as taught in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price, I have a testimony that Jesus is the Christ, that this life has a purpose and that I can best accomplish that purpose by following and learning from the teachings of God as transmitted through his prophets, both as recorded in scripture and as preached through general conferences in modern days.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping people. If I am ever at a loss on how to contribute, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints always has service opportunities available, from serving full-time missions to helping people move to canning food. I also serve through music by accompanying congregational singing on the organ and by playing the piano for children's singing each Sunday.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Bruce
Yes. Next to the Atonement of Christ and the opportunity to repent and be forgiven of our sins, the greatest blessings of the gospel for me is to be sealed to my wife and children and know that we will be an eternal family, even after death. Show more Show less
