Hi I'm Samantha

I believe in striving for the Godly attribute of patience.

About Me

I met and married my best friend in 2011! We have two energetic, loving children. I love spending my time with them, and getting an occasional night to paint alone or go out with my hubby. I ran a business of my own for a time, and recently closed it down to be with my family. You know...to really be with my family. To put away the computer and phone and connect with each one of them. I love that time, and I'm training myself to do just that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the good of so many that came before me. God works through his children here on earth. I have been so privileged to be taught the principles of the gospel all my life. I am a Mormon because it has never failed me. That is, God has never and never will fail me or any of us.

How I live my faith

The struggles in our family, although not dramatic, have seemed to go on forever. Six years ago, we received unique direction from heaven above in regards to my husbands career. Instead of receiving light or direction step by step, we received a bright light far in the distance that illuminated the end goal. And then the light was gone, almost like lightning. The last 6 years have been full of work preparing for the aviation business. We've been through times of great hope, and countless let downs. We've sacrificed everything to allow my husband time to put all his time and energy into his work. I've learned countless things through this experience. Revelation and personal inspiration comes in various ways. In all other areas of life, it comes step by step. But in this one aspect of life, Heavenly Father gave us light. He expects us to aim for it, to do our part, and to watch and wait for further direction. Heavenly Father has not abandoned us, but instead he is preparing and testing us. I love this gospel. I know that staying true to the things the Holy Ghost has confirmed in our hearts, is vital. I'm grateful for my relationship with each member of the Godhead. They love my family and I. And they love you.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Samantha
As I have mentioned, families are so important to me. In the temple, God has provided a way for us to be sealed with our families for time and all eternity. Just as the scriptures tell us that no unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God, the temple is house of the Lord. Therefore we must prepare ourselves to enter. The temple is not only for a select few. The temple is for all of Gods children to come closer to their creator. It is then each of our choice, to prepare ourselves to enjoy this blessing. We do this as we take steps forward one at a time. Striving to find things that bring us closer to our Father and Savior. You are not exempt from attending the temple. But first, the Lord asks you to make your own sacrifice to prepare yourself. "Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven" (Hymn, Praise to the Man) Our Savior paid the greatest sacrifice.
