Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm in general a pretty happy person. Family is important to me. I love hiking, ultimate frisbee and creating art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a writer. I spend a couple minutes every day writing in my journal. It helps me remember the memorable parts of my day. Another thing I enjoy doing is playing ultimate frisbee. It's so competitive and fast moving. A group of us get together to play. It's terrific exercise. We run around like crazy for two hours. It's great exercise and fun too. I've got a great family. My parents met in a congregation of singles. They got married in the temple. They had six daughters. I'm the second born. Three of my sisters are married. Family is a huge part of my life. We spend time with one another and have so much fun. We talk, watch movies, eat, and just hang out. I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was Mormon, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. As I've tried to do what Heavenly Father wants me to do, He has made Himself known to me. No, I haven't seen Him or anything. He's just answered my prayers in ways that let me know He really is there. I know He loves me.

How I live my faith

I attend a singles ward in a nearby city since 2003. I love it. I attend the meetings, and I go to activities throughout the week. The people in my congretation are fun to be with. For Christmas, we got together and ate treats while we read each other our favorite Christmas stories from our youth. I am part of the Relief Society. It's one of the largest, if not the largest, women's organization in the world. We do service for others, help one another learn God's word. I've made a lot of friends in Relief Society. I pray a lot and I find a lot of peace in reading the scriptures. I read them everyday because I feel it makes my day better.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Heavenly Father has given us families that won't just last during this time that we're alive. He wants us to be together forever. He can help us to make our relationships strong. This article has made a huge impact in my life. http://lds.org/general-conference/2006/10/the-temple-is-about-families?lang=eng At the time, I didn't have a very good relationship with my dad. He's a great dad, I just didn't know it yet. I was kind of sad because I felt like I was grown up and had lost my opportunity to get to know him. I heard this talk and realized I hadn't missed my chance. He and I have been working to strengthen our relationship since then. Things have improved so much! I love him and appreciate our relationship. I'm grateful I heard and later read this article. Show more Show less
