Hi I'm Aleshea

I am a farm girl, teacher, newlywed, and lover of the simple treasures of life. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am an English teacher at a small high school. One of my favorite things in life is to see people grow and progress, which is why I have chosen this field. Of course I love to read...especially Victorian novels like Pride and Prejudice. I also love to get random recipies from the internet or friends and try to make a masterpiece. I sing and dance and enjoy participating in community musical productions. Classic Deanna Durbin movies are my absolute favorite visual entertainment in the world. My passion is my family. I was raised on a farm, so I spent a lot of my childhood working hard with my parents and siblings, which is why we are so close to eachother. I am also lucky enough to have married for all eternity the most incredible man in the world. I was born and raised in the church and have seen so many miracles in my life because of this wonderful blessing. I am who I am becuase of my deep beliefs in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior lives and that this is His church. Because of Christ and His atonement, I have hope. I know that if I do all that He asks and allow Him to walk beside me in this life I will be able to make it back to my Father in Heaven. He does not ask much of me. In fact, the things that He asks brings such great blessings and peace into my life. When I do what is right I am so extremely happy. I follow my Savior because of the peace and surety that it brings into my everyday life. I am a Mormon becuase I have asked for myself if the church was true. The confirmation that I received is indescribable, it is undeniable. I know without a doubt that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and living.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of the Savior and the amazing strong people around me. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is truly a way of life. Following the Savior has given me peace and safety from the uncertainty of the world. I have had the amazing opportunity to serve and grow in the church. I hsve played the piano for sacrament meeting and participated in the ward choir. I am also a visiting teacher. Each month I get to visit two sisters in my ward. My companion and I give a lesson and talk with the two girls to which we have been assigned each month. This is such a great blessing becuase I get to know so many amazing people! When I first got into Relief Soceity, I was skeptical about visiting teaching and had many misconceptions. I have found that this calling is actually amazing and so rewarding.
