Hi I'm David

I am originally from Illinois and I now live in South Carolina. I am a parent of 6 kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mechanical engineer by trade, an amateur triathlete, and married to my wife of 15 years this year, and we are the parents of 6 adopted kids. My wife and I are both into camping, fishing, traveling, and also into being with and meeting new and interesting people. We both enjoy the arts, including plays, opera, concerts, and being involved with different activities. Cathy and I both feel a strong attachment to Nauvoo Illinois, and love and feel close to that sacred place that was our playground and backdrop for the first 14 years of our marriage.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church in Illinois, and was raised a Mormon, but as all Mormons eventually do, I had my own conversion through reading and prayer and have felt god's hand too much and felt his spirit enough to know the church is true, that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try by helping others, being involved in doing things that maybe others may not want to do, and to do what is asked. I help with the men and work in their organization with activation and helping to teach on Sunday what we call "priesthood lessons". Where I serve is called the "elders quorum",but it really just involves teaching men in that class how to become better fathers and husbands, and better followers of Jesus Christ. I don't openly say much unless prompted to about my faith, but I try to live and show by my example the way a Mormon should live. That in my opinion, speaks louder than anything I may say.
