Hi I'm Sophie

I grew up in California. I blog for modest style. I chase around my one year old. I like to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of a one year old girl who is starting to talk more and more everyday. I am a wife of three years to my husband who is in the military. I have a blog with my sisters where we share style ideas that are modest and fun. I love to dance and danced through my college years. My family and relationships are a priority in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I beleive in the Savior Jesus Christ. I know personally that this church is true by living the gospel and trying to draw close to God. As I read the Book of Mormon I have felt peace and it has helped move me towards the person I want to be. This gospel has truly saved me from terrible experinces that would plague my life with grief and saddness. The Savior lives and the Mormon church has helped me feel closer to God than anything I have experienced.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and the sense of family and love I feel there. I recently moved but the sense of unity and love is present everywhere. The feeling is the same if I know one person or twenty. I know we are brothers and sisters working to be closer to God. I love the womens organizations of the church. I have been able to be a part of preparing and planning events for women in the church and friends in the neighborhood. It has been such a rewarding experience to see how the women have formed friendships and made connections with eachother at these events. The events have been fun, uplifting and service oriented.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Sophie
I have a strong testimony of Gods view of women. I know the tenderness and love he feels for me, I have felt it many times in my life. God cherishes women. He promtes everything good about women and the way they are treated. In the church women are equal in responsibility and duty to God. In marriage women are equal partners with their husbands. I feel blessed to be married to a man who understands this docterine. My ideas are just as important as his ideas and he listens to me and shows me respect. My husband and I work things out together, we don't always have the same opinion about everything and when we disagree there is still mutual respect and saftey between us. I am a mormon woman and I love it. I love my family, my savior and a great pair of heals. I love the womens organizations in the church it helps me to be empowered with love and service to others in a world that wants to empower women for sexuality and objects of lust. I feel a comradery with the other women of the church and their love and concern for me as an idividual. Everthing about the gospel is there to help women find and embrace their infinate worth.
