Hi I'm David Cameron

I'm a Mormon.`I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I am the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Phoenix College.

About Me

I live in Avondale, Arizona where I play, watch and coach soccer. I have a beautiful wife and four kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church but became inactive just after baptism when my Dad left the Church. My Mother tried hard to get her four sons to stay active but eventually it was just my Mother who kept going despite the rest of us. I eventually I was consumed by this world falling into many destructive patterns. During winter break of my Sophomore year at school I met my future wife. Eventually we started to go to the singles ward. I did not like going. I felt like I did not fit in. My church clothes weren't the same as others, I didn't speak the same language as they did when it came to the Gospel and it was three long hours every Sunday. Eventually I told my girlfriend that I would not go back unless I knew the Church was true. So I decided I would read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and pray to see if it was true. And, if I didn't receive a testimony, like so many others would share on Fast Sunday, I would not go back. So a couple of day's later I locked myself in my room and opened the Introduction of the Book of Mormon and when I got to Testimony of Joseph Smith I felt the Holy Ghost testify unto me. I felt the "Burning of the Bossom", I didn't even know what that was until it happened to me. It was so powerful that I shut the Book of Mormon and held it my hand and said in a whisper "Are you kidding me". I then opened up the Book of Mormon again and started to finish the Testimony of Joseph Smith and it hit me again but it was much stronger then the first time and tears of joy were running down my face. I have cried many times prior to that but not from tears of joy, that was definately different. From that day forward my life completely changed for the positive. Life is easier because I know that God Lives and He has a plan for all of us and that he Loves each one of us.

How I live my faith

I try try to live my faith to the best of my abilities by maintaining the standards that are taught to us every Sunday. I presently teach Sunday School to the 16-17 year olds in our church.
