Hi I'm Katie

I'm a sister to 10 Aunt to 9, BYU-Idaho student, a Disney Cast Member and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Nevada, the 8th of 11 kids. I love to read and listen to music. I love to create things with my hands and challenge myself. I am a student at BYU-Idaho, studying to be an Elementary School teacher. I worked for Disney World in Florida for 4 months on the Disney College Program and had a blast!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and it's what I've known my whole life. Growing up, especially as a teenager, I struggled with not having a testimony of my own. I never got into drugs, alcohol or pre-marital sex because I saw how those things destroyed my friends' and peers' lives. I had an amazing, but very personal, spiritual experience when I was 17 that just solidified my testimony. I am not perfect and struggle but I know without a doubt there is a loving Heavenly Father who loves me and wants me home again.

How I live my faith

I went through the Sacramento California temple on January 3rd 2009, my mom's birthday! (Almost 4 years ago!) It's a huge blessing to go into the Lord's house and worship Him. It can be a struggle some days, life is hard and can be stressful. But it is because of God's love for me that I know I'll be "ok". He is there for me and will help me through anything.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Katie
Pray. it is such a simple answer but it's true. Follow your heart, let the Lord's spirit speak to you. ...Sometimes it's by simple means that great things are brought to pass. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Katie
Being a Mormon is like having a sense of peace that is hard to explain & even harder to live without. So many of life's questions are answered through the gospel. The commandments that Heavenly Father has given us, the covenants we make and the blessings that come to us through our obedience are what help me make decisions each day. I know God lives, that He loves me & that I will see Him again. I know I'm His child, his precious Daughter & that He wants me home again. Being a Mormon, is gaining that knowledge & allowing it to lift you when you're struggling. Show more Show less
