Hi I'm Greg

I was raised in Pennsylvania by non -member parents. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 41 years old and joined the Church in November 2007. I am single. I love learning so I can better serve my God and fellow man. Family is very important to me although I come from a non believing home . I make a lot of mistakes and thank God that his grace is sufficient for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Before joining the Church I was a person who would read the scriptures and talk about my faith. I also prayed a lot. I did not however go to church. I knew I needed to go to church and heavenly Father said he wanted me to be baptized in the next church I joined . One night while praying i started asking about what church to join and thought. If Christ has a church on this earth I am going to be able to find it on the internet. So i did a search for the word "church". Aside from the many branches of other denominations i found i found A link for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I knew i needed to investigate so i put aside all of my judgments of the Church. I read the information on Mormon.org and agreed with all but the belief about the Book of Mormon. So i started reading and the Holy Ghost testified to me in certain ways about it's truthfulness . I ordered a Book of Mormon and had the missionaries deliver it . They asked me to be baptized before I could ask them to be baptized. I know this is Christ's true and authorized church on the Earth . Nothing can shake that truth from me.

How I live my faith

II have recently made a stronger commitment to serve the Lord and to pray for strength with a renewed trust in the Savior, particularly the power to change emanating from the atonement. My service opportunities are very few to me. I do indexing on family search. I also hold a calling in my branch as an assistant clerk. I offer help to my branch president doing work around the chapel and other service projects. I love to visit the sick and afflicted. I find serving and helping others is the best way to loose a bad feeling that just seems to persist. I go to the temple as often as I can get a ride as I don't have a car now.I most desire to have and serve a family in hopes of each of us supporting each others efforts to serve and honor God primarily. I seek personal revelation from my Heavenly Father and repent as often as needed to keep my self worthy of his fellowship. I believe in keeping all of Gods commands and covenants and make many sacrifices to do so in my lifestyle. I also desire to live a Christlike life and be an example that others can follow with out hurting their self spiritually. I also have a weekly , howbeit small, family home evening alone with the hope of it becoming a habit when I have my own family. I do have many problems that are evident in my life to me and I am striving to overcome them and be a better person . I am making progress only with the help of God.
