Hi I'm Lori

I have my struggles, I don't let them define me, and I learn from them. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a proud mother of five and married to a wonderful husband. I recently returned back to school to finish my degree in Elementary Education at Kennesaw State University and graduated in May of 2011. I love taking care of my family, cooking, decorating my home. I have been through a bad marriage and survived to find my soul mate! We have a blended family, meaning we have his, hers, and our children. We have lost two children and have grown from those experiences. Is my life perfect? No, but I try to always look at the positive aspects of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was 5 years old. I was baptized when I was eight and followed my parents example. I grew to love the gospel as I got older and realized in my later years that I had a strong testimony and wanted to be a good example to my children. My parents mean the world to me and I trust and respect them. My family is my everything and one of the things I love about this church is how the family is a very high priority, not the worldly aspects of life. I love my Savior and he has been my rock through many difficult times. He is someone I can depend on and turn to when I need strength. I love how we as mormons have a bigger picture. The gospel is an all encompassing aspect of my life, I don't just go to church on Sunday. I LIVE the gospel all days of the week in my actions, words and thoughts. What peace I have because I know my purpose and know if I continue to live the gospel, I will receive many blessings.

How I live my faith

I used to let every worry and care bring me to a state of worry, actually I still do, but when I recenter myself and remind myself what is important, I am comforted. I am blessed to have faith that through Jesus Christ, and my faith in him, everything will work out! I try to live my faith daily by being an uplifting influence to those around me. It isn't always easy, but I try. When I know that someone is having a rough day, I try to reach out to them. That is really out of my comfort zone, but I would want someone to do that for me. I guess I mainly live my faith daily by example. I am the same person whether I am with professional friends, church friends, or with someone I just met. I live by those standards every minute, and if I fail, I know what I have to do to fix it!
