Hi I'm JT

I'm from a small town in AZ and wouldn't have it any other way. I love football and my family! I am most definately a Mormon!!

About Me

I am the 2nd oldest of 7 kids in my family. I loved playing the "big brother" role, although I wasn't always the best at it. I grew up playing a lot of sports in particular football. My Dad was my coach from 6th grade till a graduated High School, so we became really close which was a huge blessing in my life. I hope to play football in college upon returning home from my service as a missionary for this great church! I love being a missionary! Easily the best decision I have ever made in my life. I love reading the scriptures and learning more about when the Savior was on the earth. I am also a big fan of people. I love talking to random people and making them smile. Oh i almost forgot...... I also love the Cougs!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have grown up in this great church. I was an alright kid growing up. I definitely was not your average Latter Day Saint though. I am a member of this church because of the added wisdom and knowledge that is in it. I know why I am here on this earth, where I am going and where I came from. In the church we try to live a higher law of obedience to Gods commandments. This isn't because we think we are better than anyone else because obviously that is not true. We try to stretch ourselves for the better everyday. How can a church that does that, not be from God? I unite with this church because of the teachings in it. Every single commandment that is in the church i have tried my best to live. As i have lived these commandments i have seen the blessings that follow. As i have not lived the commandments, I have seen the sadness and "fake happiness" that comes into ones life when they are not doing what is right.

How I live my faith

Right now in my life my role in the church is different then most. I am a missionary. I represent God and the church everyday for 2 years. I live my faith by truly trying to love every person i meet. It may sound weird to love a complete stranger, but Jesus Christ did, so we should at least try. I try to help someone out everyday. Whether that is by hauling there trash or changing a tire on a car or simply smiling at someone. Although I am not the best at it, I try to live my religion by studying the scriptures. You can gain so much knowledge just by simply reading the Bible and the Book Of Mormon for just a few minutes a day. Right now i get to study the scriptures for a couple hours a day which is awesome! I feel like there is so much that one can do to live there religion, but it is the small and simple things that really stick out to someone. This doesnt mean that the "Big Things" are not important, because they definately are. This just means that the little things usually tend to be harder to do and if we can conqur them than we can really live our religion to the fullest. That being said, I try to go about doing good everyday. If I fall short of that then i repent and try harder the next day. It is really simple.
