Hi I'm Rob

I love my family and my country. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Physical Therapy graduate student. I love working with other people and helping them achieve their goals. I love to travel, I enjoy hiking, rafting, canyoneering, and anything in the water. I enjoy all athletics, especially baseball and triathlons. I love good music and playing the piano and guitar. Finally I love to learn, especially about history, culture, and religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for myself that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. That only through Him am I saved and can live eternally with my Father in Heaven and with my loved ones. I am a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God like unto Moses, or Abraham, and he was called by God to restore the true gospel of Jesus Christ. That Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon which I know for myself to be true scripture as is the Bible. That through the teachings of these scriptures and through current living prophets and apostles can I know and do the will of the Lord. And that because of these truths once again restored to the earth, we can obtain an eternally binding path that will unite us with our loved ones in the presence of our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because herein lies the rest of the story, and that in the end all our losses will be made up, and by that I can have peace and joy right now because of what I know and live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking to serve others. I work to be an example not only by my attitude, but also by my language, humor, and daily activities. I support the family union and defend true principles where they are found. I try my best to serve my neighbors and friends in their well-being, whether that includes shoveling snow for a widow, participating in community clothing and food drives, taking a meal to a lonely friend, or sharing a spiritual and uplifting thought. I share with my friends who are not of my faith my beliefs and standards because I know they are true and righteous teachings, and invite them to learn more about it. At church I currently work specifically with men who look after the members of the congregation in our area. We organize visits and regular outings to ensure health, safety, and happiness to those we visit. We teach and inspire each other in our meetings to be better men, better husbands and fathers, and to give back. I try to live my faith not only in word, but in my actions.
