Hi I'm Jack

I come from the deserts of Nevada, but now I make refuge in the mountains of Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I´m a college student studying music. I play the saxophone and clarinet, and I dabble around with other instruments as well. Video gaming has also been a hobby of mine, but the most awesome moments of life have been with my friends and, especially, my family. Currently I´m in Concepción, Chile as a mormon missionary and also helping out with the earthquake refuge.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a member of the church, and I pretty much believed it all. Still, during the last few years of high school I had a sort of hunger to know for myself if this is what I believed in. After a few personal experiences, particularly from reading and applying the teachings of the Book of Mormon, I came to know for a certainty that this is a true work, and I learned more of a deep love that my Heavenly Father has for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply by doing small and simple things: Praying, reading the scriptures, attending church meetings, etc. Whenever I can, I try to give back to others in some way or another.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Jack
When Jesus Christ was on the earth, he taught his gospel. He taught his doctrine and orgainized a church with a specific form and established a specific way to go about worshiping our Heavenly Father. Over time, a little after the deaths of the original apostles, some of Christ´s original teachings had been lost or changed. Mormonism is a restoration of the original teachings of Jesus. Through a prophet named Joseph Smith in the early 1800s the true teachings of Jesus Christ were restored, along with the organized church Christ had established. The church continues to receive revelation from God through prophets and apostles. They help us learn of God´s will for US in these days. Show more Show less
