Hi I'm Jeannette

I'm a California gal, who is a Accounts Receiveable/Sales Operations Manager for a pharmaceutical company, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a reserved extravert, who loves being with my friends and family. I enjoy taking road trips and visiting new places. I spend my time going out to eat with friends and having great conversations with them. I love making people laugh (some times at my own expense). It makes me happy when people think that I am funny.

Why I am a Mormon

When I've been asked if I have been raised as a Mormon, I will repond with....I was born with one foot in the church and one foot out. Which means, I come from what is referred to as a part-member family. I have one parent that their family history goes back far in the church, and whose ancestors lived a couple of doors down from the Prophet Jospeh Smith. Apparently, my ancestor's and Joseph Smith's children played together. While my other parent is not a member of the church. Even though I was taught the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a child, there came a time that I needed to gain my own knowledge and belief of what I had been taught. I have always believed in what is referred to as "The Plan of Salvation", which teaches us about where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going after this life. I have always loved having this knowledge and it has brought me much peace in my life. I remember at the age of 21, wanting to really know about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of Joseph Smith. I decided it was important for me to spend the time to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover for the first time in my life. As I read, I could feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost touch my heart and confirm to me that the Book of Mormon is in fact the word of God and it true. Once I had gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon, I then knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Over the years, I have served the majority of the time in my ward in a missionary capacity. I love teaching others the gospel principles of which we believe. I have prayed often to our Heavenly Father that I may be an instrument in His hands to help bring the knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to others. I've had beautiful experiences in seeing peoples lives change, as they come to church, and feel the love and acceptance of others.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The world is becoming a more difficult place to live in and it has become even more challenging to discern what is good in the world. Through reading the scriptures, we can find knowledge, peace, joy, and hope that will enable us to grow closer to our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
