Hi I'm Jason

I am a landscaper in San Diego. I recently married and we are expecting our first daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in New England, went to college in Utah (earning B.S. in Landscape Maintenance) and eventually ended up in Southern California. I am currently in the landscaping industry in San Diego. I love it with all my heart. I enjoy life for its simple pleasures and try to keep things as simple as possible. I enjoy being outside, whether its hiking, surfing, biking, or anything that gets me closer to the outdoors. My wife and soon-to-be little daughter mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy and peace that come from living this way. I feel like in all things, consequences (both good and bad) are a direct and natural result of decisions. The decisions I've made to live this way have brought me great blessings. I believe that everything hinges on Jesus Christ and his Atonement. Without this, my life would mean little. But because of that hope and faith in Him, I try to be the best that I can be. I know that I fail miserably sometimes, but I try, and I try hard, to do my best. I believe that Joseph Smith, acting as a prophet, restored Christ's church upon the earth. Since I've never met him, I can only rely upon what he left behind as evidence of this. He left behind the Book of Mormon, ancient scripture that he translated through the power of God. If we read this book and find out the truthfulness of it, through prayer, we can come to know of the truthfulness of Joseph Smith as well. I'm a simple man, I don't know much. There are many things that I can't explain or even try to grasp. But I'm lucky be a faithful person. When I see the wonderful results of living the way I do, it only helps me want to become better.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my local church organization. My wife and I help out by watching and teaching the 18 month to 3 year old children every sunday. We take care of them so that the adults can attend their meeting and actually pay attention to what is being taught. I also help with the young men (ages 12-18) in the San Diego area, which includes; organizing activities, boy scouts, and helping the local leaders with their assignments to help the young men.
