Hi I'm Jeffery

I am grateful the variety of activities and experiences life offers me. I'm grateful for my stellar family, and ... I'm A Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old, I grew up in the small town of Fallon Nevada, and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho when I was 14. I mostly try to be laid back, but I enjoy getting carried away and goofing off. I love both playing and watching sports. I love the 49ers and the 2010, 2012 World Series Champion San Fransisco Giants. I pretty much enjoy most every sport. If there is strategy, skill and athleticism involved it usually makes for a good time. My two favorite sports are Hunting and Snowboarding. I love to hunt all types of game, especially Chuckar. I is my favorite thing to do in the world! Probably the thing that makes Chuckar hunting so enjoyable is the fact that my Dad and brothers love it so much too, so it gives us opportunities to spend quality time together doing what we love. I love snowboarding and I have been blessed to live near Grand Targhee ski resort the best snow on earth, no matter what Utah thinks! It has always been an activity my good buddies and I love to do together, and I love spending time with them. My greatest love though, is my Family! I know that I was Divinely placed in my parents/siblings care, I cannot express in words the love I have for my family. I am so grateful for them every day!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon, but during highschool I quit going and totally changed my beliefs in God. I didnt live up to the standards and teachings of the LDS church, and tried to persuade others out of It and away from It. But I soon learned a hard lesson: as we live contrary the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Prophet we cannot have complete joy, which may lead to suffering. I am a Mormon becuase The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is lead by a Prophet of God, and contains the fullness of Christ's Gospel, which changed my life from a life of suffering, into one of Joy!

How I live my faith

By serving others, and trying to understand my Heavenly Father more everyday. The Savior of the world taught us how we should live our faith in these simple words: "by this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another". If we truly love other people, and strive to develop charity through the grace of God, we will come to know our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ more completely. There is no better way to understand the Gospel than to show love for other people.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jeffery
Families are the fundemental unit in society. The best place to learn is in the family/home. In families there is an imediate channel of learning recognized by the child. We grow up knowing that we depend on our parents for our temporal needs, this creates a desire, in us, for them to fullfil our spiritual needs. When a family is raised with the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are raised in a home where they can learn, trust, love, charity even all good things. We can plainly see in the world that when principles of Christ's gospel are not taught society suffers. The family, for these reasons is central to Heavenly Fathers plan. Show more Show less
