Hi I'm Briana

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a graduate student in Ohio, studying Speech-Language Pathology. I recently lived a year and a half in Taiwan where I served the people that I came to love and where I learned to speak Mandarin Chinese. I'm the second of four children and was raised in Florida. I love to travel. I love sunshine. I love life and all the wonders that the world offers to us. Most of all, I love Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, who shower goodness and love upon us each and every day.

Why I am a Mormon

The short answer is: I was born into a family with a long history in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church). But, that's only part of the story... Even though I was born into this Mormon religion, I choose to remain because of the peace I feel here. I choose to remain because of the joy that fills my soul when I ponder the doctrines of this church. I choose to remain because, well, because I know what it claims is true. I know that God, our Eternal Father, and His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to a young boy and reorganized their Church upon the earth. I know this organization, this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has the power of God on earth today. And most of all, I know that through this Church, I feel soooooooooo close to God. I feel joy. I feel light. I feel the cleansing affects of Christ's Atonement on my behalf. I feel His forgiveness. I feel the approval of God. I feel like singing praises and shouting Their glory. I choose to remain because I have felt an answer to fervent prayer. And that answer was: Stay.

How I live my faith

I live my faith but, more importantly, my faith is my life. I am a Mormon. That defines my whole life. Inside and out, I'm a Mormon. Mormonism shapes how I make decisions, how I act to others, what I choose to do with my life, how I think about myself, and how I present myself. Because of the truths taught in this church, I live my life differently. And I live it joyfully! Because of the knowledge I have of who I am and where I come from, I have confidence and faith and added strength to reach outside myself and touch the lives of others. Because of the joy inside me, I interact with others differently. I feel the love of God in my life and it fills my soul. It compels me to share that joy with others. I try to live in such a way that all may feel God's love through me.
