Hi I'm Jeff

Born in Davis County, Utah. I love to serve. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am the fourth child in my family. I have five siblings three sisters & two brothers. I love to learn new things. I graduated from high school. Got my bachelor's degree, and am now a husband and father. Trying hard to be the kind of man that my wife and children need me to be. I am a business manager. I chose this career because it gives me time to spend helping the youth in my neighborhood through the scouting program. It also give me time to spend with my children and serving my family. In my spare time I enjoy yardwork, gardening, building stuff, and golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is a church and a community of people that are trying, for the most part, to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. That are committed to serving and connecting all generations of people and time. Even if it means wearing out my life with that cause. I am also a Mormon because I believe completely in the doctrine of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. As a youth, I was taught this gospel, as a young adult, I made the choice to serve a mission in Oregon. I prayed, taught, and served the people I was called to administer to. It was during those two years that the beliefs I was taught as a youth were solidifed in my heart and soul. Now as a adult, I feel strongly that I am responsible for making sure that the young people in my neighorhood and family know that I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith is true. Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the restoration, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. It is the most marvelous book I have ever read. That book has the power to save the world, if we will read it and do what the Spirit of it tells us to do.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth. Specifically I am in charge of helping the young men from ages 12 to 18 as they prepare themselves to serve full-time missions. I do that through weekly mutual activities, as well as special activities such as service projects, temple trips, and camping. My goal it to minister to them with my time, my resources, and my testimony. Youth need to know they they belong, that you love them. That no matter what, you believe in them and the hardships they face. I feel a great degree of responsibility to do that for the youth in my neighborhood. As well as the youth in my family. I have two families in my neighborhood that me and my home-teaching companion specifically visit with on a monthly basis. We are asked to pray for them, bless their homes, help them with projects they need. Both of the families I've been called to serve are on my mind often to share my testimony with.

What is faith?

Jeff
Faith is believing something you can't see, but it is true. Faith is the first principle of the Gospel. Faith seems hard, but take it a step at a time. It's just like turning on a light switch, you know the light will turn on, but you have to flip the switch. Your faith is the switch...you are the one that has to make the effort to put out your hand to turn the light on. The great thing is that Jesus Christ and the principles of his Gospel are the light...and they will always turn on...the light will never go out.  Show more Show less
