Hi I'm Jody

I am a Wife, Mother and an Student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Puyallup, Washington. I am the youngest of a blended family of 9. I am happily married and have 3 adult children. I have visited basecamp on Mount Rainier 15 times, but never summited. After 23 years of raising a family I am finally going back to school to finish my education. I love to ride my Harley Davidson Motorcycle and spend time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into an LDS family, as an adult, being active in the Mormon Church was a personal decision. I'm a Mormon because I know that living the teachings to the best of my ability brings me closer to my Heavenly Father. Knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior that are intimately interested in my happiness, my life and my choices gives me strength. I know that when I'm feeling sick, stressed, or confused I can turn Him to for guidance, comfort and direction brings me peace. I am thankful for the assurance that if I live to the best of my ability, my husband and children can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I believe that everyone has something important to share and I find strength in the friendship and associations of women who are struggeling and striving to become better people. I decided a few months ago to make a commitment to my Heavenly Father to find and help at least one person each day, sometimes that person is a co worker, family member, friend or stranger. I've decided that my action doesn't have to be big, just consistent. I feel peace and joy in giving service and it helps me remember how blessed I am.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that each one of Heavenly Fathers children are unique, with different strengths and abilites. Because of these strengths and abilites we all achieve at a different level. I find comfort in knowing that if I do my personal best, no matter how it compares to another person, my Heavenly Father will accept my efforts and extend His grace to me in order to allow me to return to his presence. God does not require a perfect performance, He requires a persistent effort to live better tomorrow than we did today. Show more Show less
