About Me

It is the very thought that everyone was born for a purpose in this world that brought me to God. I study Molecular Biology and I love science. I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan and came to America when I was 19 years old. Now I am a junior in college and am excited for the future to come. I love to play the piano, sing and dance. I would love to have a family of my own in the near future and have at least three kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Whenever my father was home, there would often be verbal and physical abuse. My parents got divorced when I was ten. Since then, I was discriminated by people all the time. When I was 14 years old, one of my father’s girlfriends discovered that he was dating multiple girls. Her sister, who was a member of Taiwan’s biggest gang, was so angry that she decided to murder me. I was stalked and was under the protection for a while. During that time, my father harassed us in every way. We were out of money. One night, I called my father to ask him how he could do this to my mother and me. He said that I was the biggest junk in the society. I cried so hard that I thought I could have died at that very moment. It was that very night, we heard the doorbell rang and the missionaries were standing in front of our door. We were overwhelmed by the peace they brought to us when we opened the door. Less than a month, my mother and I were baptized. Although life doesn’t get easier because of my conversion, I move on with great hope and faith because I know firmly God loves me very much. Every trial is blessing in disguise. Maybe he has abandoned me for a little moment, but his kindness and pure love never leave me. He is always there for me. He hears my prayers. He knows me. I just want people to know how much the gospel has changed my life. Now I am very happy. Every day, I feel his love for me and it prompts me to help the wounded like my own before. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know Heavenly Father loves me deeply and the gospel helps me to be better and come to Christ, our dear savior, so that we can receive the help from the atonement of Jesus Christ and understand our great potentials.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures every day and go to church every Sunday. Always strive to study and serve more. I pray all the time.
