Hi I'm Kirk

I grew up in Utah and now live in Georgia. I'm currently writing a religous book about becoming more successful "fishers of men."

About Me

I grew up in Utah as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before graduating from college, I served as a missionary for the Church in Louisiana. I met my future wife, and my best convert into the Church, at college. After graduation, I moved to Georgia to work for Delta Air Lines. As my entrepreneurial interests grew, I started a business, with Delta Air Lines as my first customer. Currently, I represent a manufacturing company headquartered in Oregon. I enjoy reading (particularly business and religious books,) landscaping, and running. My wife and I have four children, and our strong family relationship is always our highest consideration.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith. I was taught by faithful parents to believe in God, to keep His commandments, and to serve others. My testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has increased as I have moved forward in faith. I know that the Lord speaks to all who come to Him with a sincere heart and real intent, as I have felt His Spirit testify personally.

How I live my faith

I am devoted to my family, and we spend as much time together as possible. Equally, I am dedicated to my church and have served in various positions of leadership, including five years as a bishop. My three sons are all in Scouting, and I always make myself available to help them with badges or to chaperone camping trips. I have one daughter and we love to read books together. I feel strongly that it is important to be a contributing member of my community; consequently, I have participated in our local county-wide day of service and Adopt-a-Highway clean-up programs for many years. I enjoy meeting and befriending others not of our faith, and enjoy discussing religion with them. In fact, I just completed reading the Qur'an which was given to me by a friend.
