Hi I'm Addison

Everyone calls me Ace, I'm a Utah Ute Fan, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from a little town in Utah. My family has a little farm so ever since I was little I was doing farming stuff like changing sprinklers, hauling hay, and working with animals. I like playing sports, especially baseball, and going hunting. I have had some really great friends that have always helped me out and encourgaged me to do the right things. Something that I have really come to understand is that a true friend will always help you to do what is right. I am the oldest child so I have done a lot of babysitting. I served a mission in Atlanta Georgia and it was such an awesome experience. Now I'm just working and going back to School to figure out life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church like a lot of people are. My Dad's side of the family has been members for a long time now. As I grew up my parents were active in the church and I just knew that when Sunday came around we would be going to church. I always liked going to young Men's and doing scouting stuff. I liked to go to church and be with my family. I lived off of my parents testimony for a long time and I never really understood how to get one of my own. I had read the Book of Mormon and prayed and asked God if it was true, but I didn't really feel anything special when I did. So I just went on with my life. There were times when I had questioned the church, but deep down I think that over time my testimony has come over such little things that I have barely even recognized that I did actually have my own testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and most importantly that God is my Father and he sent his Son Jesus Christ to save us all if we will do our part. My testimony has come as Elder Bednar taught like a sunrise on a cloudy day. Now I have no Doubt that this is true. I have really been able to see a different culture and different side of life while serving in Georgia as a missionary and I know that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ really is the only thing that will lead us to having lasting happiness. I want to be with my Family Forever.

How I live my faith

I am trying to make myself better and help myself grow. I help myself grow by going to church, Reading my scriptures, and saying my prayers. I try and be a good example for my little Brothers and Sisters.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Addison
We will talk about whatever you need to hear. If you have questions about Mormons, about God, or about Life we have answers that will help you improve the quality of your lives and get closer to Jesus Christ. Generally we teach about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Prophet Joseph Smith, God's Plan of Salvation (Where did we come from? What is our purpose? Where do we go when we die?), and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Don't expect to learn everything in one visit though. True understanding will come over time through study, prayer, and experiece in keeping God's Commandments. We want to help you in whatever situation you are in, in whatever way that we can.
