Hi I'm Joshua

I am a runner. I love to eat everything but seafood. I've Played Zelda a million times. I Love cheese Steaks. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I grew up around the mountains and I love them! I love to run. I did Cross Country and Track in High School. I love hiking up in the mountains as well, with the occasional Cross County skiing. I have one year of college under my belt and I will continue with that in 2012. I am currently in Pennsylvania doing missionary work. I am a big fan of disney and hope to be able to go into the field of animation. I also am planning to go into programming as well. My family is so important to me. They are my greatest of friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have always been a Mormon, that wouldn't be the reason why. At a certain point, I needed to find out the truth for myself. We learn that the ultimate source of truth is God and so I prayed to him to know about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and the Church. I have had a strong knowledge since I have been very young and continue to develop it on a daily basis. I know with all my heart that this is the true Church because of this crucial step that I took to pray about the messages the Church shares. God is the most important force in my life, without Him in it, I would be a completly different person.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am growing more and more in my faith by sharing the wonderful message of the Book of Mormon and the Restoration of the Gospel. Today, I do it as a missionary. Later on in my life, I plan to share this message with all of my friends that I make.

Who are the Mormons?

This is something that is frequently misunderstood. The name Mormon comes from the Book of Mormon, in which we believe is the word of God. We are primarily Christian. Jesus Christ is our savior and the book of Mormon is to act as another testimony of Him and His glorious mission. For a basic list of beliefs, look up the Articles of Faith on the Church's website. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

It is simple. We know what we share is true. The great work and glory of God is to bring immortality and eternal life to all of mankind. I find it, as one of his full time missionaries, a blessing to be able to be a great part of this work. As we share this message, we invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel. We teach the priniples of Faith and Repentence. And we help people make covenants, or promises, to God. The basic ones are baptism and confirmation. Sharing this with others brings great joy into my life. I strongly encourage anyone to sit down with the Missionaries because I know that they can bless lives. Show more Show less
