Hi I'm Mark

I love hanging out and having a good time. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a honorably released full-time missionariy for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have served in the great Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I love sports, especially volleyball, basketball, and wrestling. I was born in Utah, but my current residence is in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I have coached in all sports that I have participated in for the local high school. I worked in construction and work in property maintenance. I love having friends and family over for parties, BBQs, movie nights, or whatever, whether there be a special occasion or not. I enjoy talking about life with others, and helping them with what they need in their lives to make things better and succeed.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I was born and raised in this Church. But that dosen't mean that I was "fully involved" with it. Yeah, I went to Church activities, I attend Church each week. I did what the "average Joe" would do if he were a member of this Church. But, mentally and in my own personal life, I was not. I was heading down a path that I thought was great and wonderful. I had my friends, I had my "worldly" things, but something was still missing. I thought I had everything. By the end of the summer before my senior year of high school, I knew what I wanted in life, and I knew how to obtain it. The only thing that I didn't look at, was what was down the road-or the consequences for my actions. I saw this road that I was on, and realized what I was heading toward. By the middle of my senior year, I knew I had to change. But the only problem was, I didn't know how to change, or what to change to for that matter. It wasn't until I started talking with my Church leaders and my dad that I knew how to change, and what to change to. The "something" that was missing in my life was now found. It is the the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ, in its fullest. Once I discovered that for myself, I knew what I had to do, I had to start living the gospel of Jesus Christ through the teachings of His modern day prophets. Right from the moment that I started that, I could see a change in my life that I have never before seen, nor can I describe it. From doing that, I have seen miracles and happiness in my life. And it has all been for my good in my life.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and always remember to do what He Himself would do in all things.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Mark
Yes, we may have always had the Bible. But look at the history of the Bible, and how it offically came to be. It was translated from one language to another, time and time again. It is scientifically proven that when things are translated from one language to another time and time again, things are lost. the amin principle may still be there, but not in it's fullest. We see in biblical history, that there have been many "restorations" and many "falling aways" of Chirst's Church. That is why there are so many prophets throughout the whole Old Testament. Now, if God is a loving and unchangin God, who's to saw that he stopped everything with Jesus Christ and His Apostles? Hebrews 13:8 says that he is "the same yesterday, today, and forever." When God's children cry out for help, for truth, when they are lost and confused, He will answer in full (James 1:5). Therefore, from this logic, we come to the conclusion that God, must call prophets for us today, in these last days. And That is exactly what He has done with Joseph Smith. However, no matter how much logic you but into it, you will always need to do what james directs, and that is to ask God yourself if these things are true. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Mark
How do you increase your muscle mase? You work out, eat healthy, keep your mind sharpe, and do things right and correctly. Same thing is with our faith in Jesus Christ. We need to use our faith in Him. We do that by doing what he has asked us to do, and follow His example in all things. We will not know what life holds for us until we go and do things to expand our knowledge. The same thing is with faith. Try accomplishing one of His commandments, and see the miricles and blessings and knowledge from doing it. Show more Show less
