Hi I'm Nick

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I've played guitar for 7 years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a big guitar player. I've been playing the guitar for seven years, and love it. I also play the piano, bass guitar, and love writing music. In addition to that, I'm a movie nut, and currently have 370 movies in my collection, and still counting. Also, I love reading, drawing, goofing off, etc. I'm the 2nd of 3 kids in my family. I'm currently going to college for psychology.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known that there was something more out there, but it wasn't until I was in my teens that I really wanted to know if God existed. I'd been taught how to pray my whole life, and had done it, but it wasn't really until then that I started to really make the effort to put my heart into it. Even then though, as I prayed, I felt something was missing. After learning all about the scriptures throughout my life, I decided that I should start investing myself in them. My study of the Bible was a wonderful experience. I especially found myself attached to the New Testament. There was a big draw for me, and I kept feeling closer and closer to God as I kept reading, but still felt like there was a key piece missing. Finally, I started to read from the Book of Mormon. Day after day I'd read and pray, and day after day felt like there was good in what I read. One day, as I read from the book of Alma, a feeling came over me that I can't describe. It was a warmth and a feeling of love that I'd never quite felt that intensely before. After reading from the scriptures and praying for so long, I really felt like God had answered me and told me the truth of it all. After that experience, I've continued studying from the scriptures, thinking about the things I've learned, and developing a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. I know that because God loves us He's restored the fullness of the gospel on the earth. He doesn't want anyone to miss it, and the truths found here add to the truths I've already held dear to me.

How I live my faith

The main way I live my faith is just trying to be a good person and live a positive life. I try to help people out with whatever they need, whether it's just to be there for someone, do service, fix something, whatever it is, I do my best to help out others and live a Christ - like life. I'm not perfect by any means, but I'm trying to live the way Christ would want me to. Whenever I get down or things start going bad, I just think about what the Savior has done for me and I've learned to rely on Him when times get tough.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Nick
There's a very easy way to know if this is all true. Read from the Book of Mormon, ponder what you've read, and then pray, and ask God if it is true. If you really mean it and want to know, God will answer your prayer. This formula works. It's what I did, and it's changed my life. Show more Show less
