Hi I'm Marie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! well, I'm a college student, going to school for early childhood education. I'm also a singer/songwriter...I have a band...were totally cool. I love singing and writing songs about the life Heavenly Father has blessed me to live, I feel like my stories will help someone else and for that I am grateful. I love our YSA branch...we have like the best President ever. I like my life, but you know life is all about progression so, onward Christian Soldier!

Why I am a Mormon

hmmm...not a regular question, people sometimes ask...why I believe this or that, or do I believe this or that...but rarely why I am Mormon. I suppose it's really simple, it didn't seem like it before but now, it's like duh! Ever since I was little I wanted to be with who ever I marry forever and ever, I was pentacostal...that's not how i was taught. I prayed to Heavenly Father when I was 16 and asked him why he wouldn't let my granny be my granny or let me have my family, I didn't understand why He would give us loved ones down here but take them away from us in paradise. I was under the distinct impression that we were just gonna be floating spirit singing and worshiping God all day. To my surprise, we can have our families and we will know them, and love them, and we will worship our Heavenly Father as we progress to be like Him...SOLD! I'll take Being Mormon for 200 Alex! haha

How I live my faith

I had a hard time in the church, I'm the only member, and when I got baptized I wasn't a hundred percent sure I bough the whole Joseph Smith story, through the years I have seen the gospel made manifest and my beleif has grown and matured, so much that...almsot everything I talk about is lead back to the gospel, sometimes as we all do..i struggle. I struggle with charity, understanding and sometimes even being nice. I press on, when i'm upset or about to do something un-gospel like, I take a moment and sing " I am a Child of God" It totally helps it reminds you, that we all are, and it invites the spirit back in. My friends from our branch have taken kindly to this act. I try hard to always have a kind word to say and a listening ear.
