Hi I'm Joel

I'm in the U.S. Army. I'm a Warrant Officer and am training to fly the AH-64D Apache helicopter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 26 years old and I am an adventure seeker and my latest adventure is becoming a dad. My wife is due any day now and I cannot wait to meet my son face-to-face. I enjoy playing ice hockey, water and snow skiing, football, basketball and tennis. My hobbies are aviation and computers. I have a one-and-a-half year old Saint Bernard named Molly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon religion and at the age of 16 or so I started to fall away from the faith. I turned to the world for happiness and answers to life's most important questions (i.e. why am I here?). After many years of searching I only found myself more lost than ever. I met a very special somebody (who is now my wife) and the love I felt for her helped me realize I had the answers right in front of me. I resumed my activity as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have since been sealed to my best friend for time and all eternity and I haven't been happier. Quite simply, I am a Mormon because I love being happy!!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly asking my Heavenly Father for His assistance. I ask that His Spirit might be with me. I always try to live worthily to have His Spirit with me. I serve others as often as I can and I always try to forgive (for I know I am in constant need of forgiveness). I always strive to seek the Lord's will for me and follow His great counsel. I always try to be approachable if anyone ever has a question.
