Hi I'm Lauren

I'm an optimist, I'm an artist, I'm a big sister, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports! I'm not always good at them (ha) but I love playing and being active. I love rock climbing, slacklining, camping, hiking, running, pretty much anything you can do outside. I love reading and learning new things. I like to paint, draw and make ceramics. I love photography and about fifty billion other things! I have a lot of hobbies. I've had a million different majors and have thought about being a million different things.. a journalist, accountant, statistician, doctor, nurse, chiropractor, translator, but I've finally decided that I'm going to go to school to become an ultrasound technician and then go back to school for everything else ;) we'll see how long that sticks. I know I want to be a mother, of a lot of kids :) I come from a small family just me, my brother, mom and dad. I'm the oldest :) I love my little brother. I know that God sent him to be my brother so I could learn from him and follow his example. Even though he's younger he's constantly teaching me how to love unconditionally, be patient, and kind. I'm so grateful for all the examples I've had in my life that have made me the person I am today!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it fills me up. I know who I am. I spent most of my life convinced I knew what I needed, I did everything "my way", it got to a point where "my way" wasn't yielding the results I was searching for. That's when a friend of mine suggested I do things the Lords way. How do we know the Lords way? The scriptures, prayer, and attending church. Heavenly Father has provided me with everything, health, strength, means to accomplish everything that has ever been put in front of me. I know that because I am following Him, because I am continually learning from His words and His prophets, following his commandments He will continue to guide me and provide for me. I can't imagine ever going back to "my way".

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the standards that Heavenly Father has set for us every day. I follow His commandments and heed the warnings of prophets past and present. I make an effort to show the love that He has for me to everyone I meet and help them feel his love too. I have a hope that I can live with God again and know that as I excercise my faith He will continue to provide for me. I know that I can do nothing without the help of my God. He grants me all that I have and I am eternally endebted to Him. I attend my church meetings every Sunday and read my scriptures every day so that I can continue to learn about my purpose here on this earth, and what he wants me to accomplish while I am here.
