Hi I'm Katrina...

I'm a teacher. I'm a new mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, but now I live in TX. I have been teaching preschool for about two years in a non-profit organization. My husband and I have a 3 month old son! We love to travel and are outdoor enthusiasts. I speak Spanish and love all kinds of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family and friends too much to not spend eternity with them. I know of no other gospel doctrine more precious than that of eternal families. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true and complete restored church of Jesus Christ. It holds a direct line of priesthood authority and keys straight from the Lord Himself, and through which my family can be forever. In no other way will this be possible! The Book of Mormon and our living prophets teach us the way back to our Heavenly Father and how we can truly be eternally happy. I like the idea of eternal happiness, don't you?

How I live my faith

I have been fortunate to serve in various capacities within my local congregation. I have worked as a leader in the womens organization, taught Sunday school classes to the young children and have been a member in a service group for women/families experiencing difficulties and in need of a helping hand or loving, uplifting friendship. Out in my community I work in a non-profit preschool dedicated to creating a strong educational foundation for "at risk" students and families. I find joy in this profession because I'm never just in it for my own gain, but every moment is dedicated to using my skills to lift others. I think it is a nice way to honor my upbringing and increase in my ability to be Christ-like and loving to all God's children.
