Hi I'm Josh

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of two boys. I love open water swimming, reading, writing, playing music, riding my bike and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, but fell away for several years when I was younger. I came back to my faith because I realized that God loves me and is watching out for me. Living the principles that I have been taught in my family and in church have helped me to live a happier and more productive life than I was when I was away from the church. The Book of Mormon has helped me to learn more about my Savior and what he expects of me in this life. By living God's commandments I feel that I have come closer to God and Jesus Christ. I am Mormon because the church also offers many opportunities to help others and provide needed service. I feel that these experiences help me to be a better person and help me to follow the example the Jesus set while he was here on the Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example and helping others.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about is a law of health that was given by revelation from God. It not only warns about the use of harmful substances like alcohol, tobacco and coffee but also encourages a healthy diet including grains and vegetables. By living this law of health we live better, more healthy lives and invite the Holy Ghost to dwell with us and inspire us. Mormons choose to follow the Word of Wisdom to show respect for the physical bodies they have been given and to be eligible to participate in temple worship and other privileges within the church.
